File Server Bindings

Overview

Use the Setup bindings to other file servers window to configure how one file server reaches other file servers.

You open it from:

  • Host Kimura Server for FS-DEFAULT (when the Kimura server is running)
  • Standalone File Server (when the standalone file server is connected)

When you use it

Use this window when endpoint routing between file servers needs to be confirmed or adjusted, such as after endpoint changes, deployment moves, or connectivity issues.

This is particularly useful when a file server acts as a secondary file server and needs a connection to a primary file server to sync from it.

What you can do here

  • Review other file servers in a list and see the endpoint currently bound for each one
  • Select an endpoint per file server from known endpoint choices
  • Enter a custom endpoint value directly (the endpoint field is editable)
  • Apply all binding changes in one action

Typical flow

  1. Open Setup bindings to other file servers from the hosting mode you are using.
  2. For each listed file server, review or change the endpoint value.
  3. Click Apply to update bindings and close the window.
  4. Verify file server connectivity/status in the hosting tab.

Notes

  • The current file server itself is not listed; bindings are configured only for other file servers.
  • Close exits the window without applying changes.
