Overview
These guides describe how to use Kimura SCM with Unreal Engine projects.
For most teams, start with the plugin setup guide, then use the editor workflow guide for day-to-day work in Unreal. The native project setup guide is a broader walkthrough for teams setting up Unreal Engine, game projects, and plugins as separate Kimura repositories.
The Kimura Unreal Engine plugin source is available on GitHub.
Beta Compatibility
During beta releases, Kimura SCM uses stricter version checks between the Unreal plugin, the installed command-line bridge, and the Kimura server. Match beta minor versions when setting up the plugin.
For example, the 0.8.x Unreal plugin is not compatible with a Kimura server running 0.9.x.
Guides
- Plugin Setup: install the Kimura SCM plugin in a project and connect it to a workspace.
- Unreal Editor Workflow: use Kimura source control actions inside Unreal Editor.
- Native Unreal Project Setup: set up a native Unreal project with Kimura SCM repositories and workspaces.
