Repository Links
Overview
The Repository links tab shows repository mappings for the selected workspace.
Repository links (repository map) define how repositories and branches map to local paths in your workspace.
From this tab, you can update mappings, create new ones, and select mappings stored on the server to apply to the workspace.
A workspace can be bound to a server-side repository map. In that case, a super user or administrator can push updates to the map, and other users will see those changes the next time they load the workspace.
Repository-map edits are not applied immediately. They take effect only after you click Apply.
When you use it
For most users, workspace creation starts from a predefined repository map as part of the workspace creation workflow.
Review repository links when creating a workspace, changing branches, or adjusting where repositories should live on disk.
What you can do here
- Review current mappings
- From the mapping list view, right-click to create, update, or delete repository links in the workspace
- Create new mappings and update existing mappings (if you have permission)
- Select repository maps from the server and apply them to the current workspace
- Confirm the correct branch-to-path layout
When adding or editing a repository link, you must specify:
- The path where the repository link should be created. The path must start with
/and is relative to the workspace root (for example,/MyGame/Plugins/MyPlugin). - The repository to use (from a dropdown of repositories you can access).
- The branch to use (from a dropdown).
Typical flow
- Open Repository links for the current workspace.
- Review current mappings and right-click entries in the mapping list view to create, update, or delete repository links.
- If needed, select a repository map from the server.
- Click Apply to apply the current repository-map changes to the workspace.
